Galp Energia’s Solar PV Project in Portugal: 22 Switchgears Successfully Commissioned

Invested by Galp Energia, an international player in the energy sector and one of Portugal’s largest companies, the 144MW solar PV project, created by a consortium formed by Jayme da Costa and Visabeira in Portugal, has successfully commissioned 22 gas-insulated primary cells. Galp Energia SGPS, S.A. encompasses activities such as refinery operation, energy production and distribution, oil and natural gas exploration and production, as well as renewable energy projects, showcasing significant potential.

This project, spread across 250 hectares and consisting of four plants, has an estimated annual production capacity of 250,000 MWh. Not only is this project substantial enough to meet the needs of over 80,000 households and prevent the emission of 75,000 tons of CO2, but it also holds importance as one of EKOS Electric’s significant ventures in providing products for solar plants in Europe.
